described, which shows how much there
is still to discover.

However, unfortunately, these systems
are also among the most threatened,
especially by numerous human activities.

The Center for Studies on Subterranean
Biology brings together researchers and
students with a single goal: to explore,
discover and describe the Brazilian
subterranean biodiversity.
